Sophie had a great love of life and has accomplished great things in her long life. She has a CD, but her real star shines in agility. When the jump heights in USDAA were 30", Sophie received her USDAA AD and became the first Berner in the country to do so. She has two legs in both NADAC Elite and AKC Excellent. Along the way we had to stop to do a few "other" things, a Novice Draft Dog title and she brought into the world six lovely Berner girls. These babies are record setters of their own - Brighteye Jozette CDX, TD, NA Dog World CDX, Top Novice B BMDCA 1997 owned by Debbie Hotze; Brighteye is our Alibi CGC, UDT 1997 HIT BMDCA Nat'l Specialty, 1999 HIT BMDCSEW Regional Specialty, Top Open Dog BMDCA 1996 & 1997 owned by Jim Cammarata; Brighteye Bella Mia CD, 2 legs on her CDX owned by Peggy Barber. Her grandchildren continue to surpass all my expectations in keeping her legacy of performance abilities alive with their superb accomplishments - Brighteye Spinning Top CDX, TD, OA, NAJ Dog World Award CD, 1998 HIT BMDCSEW Regional Specialty and Top Open A Dog BMDCA 1999 and TOP BMDCA 1999 Novice Agility, at the Chicago Int'l Dog Show he was first in Open Agility and third in Open Jumpers With Weaves and is owned by Bev Jurinek. INT CH Brighteye Tribute to Alibi NA, NAJ TT, CTC, HIC his NA legs were two firsts one third and NAJ legs all first places, owned by Kris Gleason. Brighteye Spinning Galexi CDX, MX, MXJ first Berner MX, MXJ, first AKC National Agility Champoinship Berner qualifier and participant and first Bernese with MACH points, owned by Kris Osojnicki. Even Sophie's great-grandkid does agility - Brighteye Cascade Myst CDX,MX,MXJ. She also is owned by Kris Osojnicki. The future looks bright for Brighteye!
